Graduating from Houston City College (HCC) marks the end of one journey and the beginning of another. This chapter in my life taught me that I can juggle challenges, due dates, and my job, while still keeping my sanity. I am no longer the fresh-out-of-high-school student that I was a year ago. I am a college graduate ready to take on new opportunities and face the next big challenge that lies ahead.
Attached with this blog is a video of a speech (the very first speech I've ever done) that I was honored to give at the Honors College Luncheon. I was so nervous, but when the Director asked me personally to represent the Online Chapter (OHC), I couldn't say no. And I did it! And I want to share it with you for you to enjoy.
I want to thank everyone who has encouraged me along the way; my family, my friends, my professors, my classmates, my Honors Director, and you, my readers.
For those of you who are in college, I encourage you to continue your courses even when the projects get overwhelming, because guess what, you can do this and you will get this done. Remember, your time at college is what you make of it. Embrace the opportunities, learn from setbacks, and celebrate your progress.
This chapter may be closing, but the story continues. I am excited for what lies ahead and am confident it's going to be a good one.
Thank you, HCC, for an unforgettable journey, and thank you my readers for your support!
